The new Google operating system coming in late summer will be called exclusively Android 10.
No more dessert names like Android Cupcake, Pie or Lollipop. The Mountain View company decides to abandon after a decade that characteristic that had accompanied it from its birth.
With the new operating system, the logo will also change!
On a graphical level the changes concern the new font used for the word “android” which is refined and tends to be slightly rounded. The color palette that allows you to adapt to multiple scenarios also changes. Above all it changes the Android logo which is now, as mentioned, accompanied by the head of the little green robot who not only gets a change to the curve radius of his head but also loses his body. Some changes also to the eyes and to the antennas to make the head more expressive and above all it passes from black to bright green making the logo more visible even to people with visibility problems.
The custom of the name had become by now so much rooted that the users months and months before its release bet on the name of the release that would have characterized precisely the new Android. Android 1.5 Cupcake was the first version released ten years ago. Then followed Donut Android, Eclair, Froyo but also Gingerbread, Ice Cream Sandwich, Jelly Bean and KitKat in 2013. Then there was Lollipop, Marshmallow, Nougat to get to 2017 with Android Oreo and finally with the current Android Pie.
