The Champions League resumes tonight and Valencia Atalanta will be played but behind closed doors, with the stadium empty. Unusual training this morning, in which the players greeted each other by touching their elbows. From the point of view of the outcome, this is the most interesting game because Atalanta this year not only plays the champions league but could even reach the quarterfinals.

The challenge between Valencia and Atalanta will be broadcast live exclusively by Sky

This is the second race in history between these two teams, which had never faced each other before the first leg. The one played against Valencia at San Siro was also the first match for Atalanta against a Spanish club. This game ended 4-1 in favor of the Nerazzurri, who only managed to score four goals in a single European match in the 1990/1991 UEFA Cup round of 32 against Fenerbahce. In addition, with this result, Atalanta also became the third team to score four goals in the first knockout game played in the Champions League after Manchester United in 1996/1997 and Valencia in 1999/2000. Only four teams managed, in the return match, to overturn a passive of 3 or 4 goals in previous 36: two of these are Spanish, Deportivo La Coruna against Milan in 2003/2004 and Barcelona against PSG in 2016/2017. Valencia lost their last home game against an Italian team: 0-2 with Juventus in 2018.

Atalanta played only one game after the first leg against Valencia, winning 7-2 at Via del Mare against Lecce.
