As always, I comment on Pawel Kuczysnki’s drawings. Today I find it difficult to comment on it, above all because it undoubtedly deals with the theme of racism.
The color of the skin was one of the factors that provoked racism in extreme cases. The slavery of the past on blacks has certainly created a mass culture with which black people always have the pretext of feeling different by asking for equality and equality even in cases where it is not necessary.
Black people will always have a society that will claim their rights, because in the end they will never be the same as others.
Have you ever wondered if a saint has hobbies? Probably some saint certainly had hobbies. But believe that most of them have never had any. Above all because it is overwhelming that the saints perform their duties with the joy of those who perform almost a hobby. Certainly there were saints who passed martyrdom, others instead fulfilled their duties with the joy of a child.
St. Peter is the saint par excellence, the one who has the keys to Paradise. Many people do not even know the life of this Saint, who before his conversion had a wife and daughters, and enjoyed himself as a normal man on earth. I do not believe that there is absolute sanctity but rather a hierarchy of saints. Surely the greatest saints had no hobbies because, as the Gospel says, the Son of man has nowhere to rest the Head. Thus the greatest saints, who imitate Jesus, do not even have a pillow on which to rest.
How important is our smartphone for us? Definitely a lot. But if used with care it can be our best friend, if used with abuse, thinking that it can solve our problems, it becomes our worst confidant. At other times, the smartphone was replaced by a notebook or a book, which in other eras could completely influence a person’s ideas and character. Instead in the digital age, everyone counts to the extent of the insignificant infinitesimal.
Our age is characterized by the chaos and the bombardment of the news, which between social media and other web news, takes us away from reality. So that the book remains the only instrument with whom to remain connected with our fantasy, that is, our soul that is also our reality which we change with our dreams.
If we precede the richness of books and culture, only the birds will benefit, as they have remained the only ones still to hold silence as a divine song.
The books are supported by the dreams of those who wrote them and support those who believe in dreams.
The Christmas season is one of the periods when you buy more things. Gifts are one of the undeniable ways to present yourself as guests in the homes of friends and relatives.
Often a gift, even if of little value, can represent a lot, even the symbol of a friendship. Among adults, it is often a formality. But how many Chinese products do we buy? Surely many. And although we don’t buy them directly from the Chinese store, the origin of most of the products, above all the technological ones, is Chinese. It’s funny to think how many of the things we use have been produced in China: it’s like thinking that every Chinese worker gives us a gift when we find a low-cost product.
We are increasingly dependent on smartphones. Now when our cell phone is empty we go into a panic, worried about finding a way to recharge our cell phone. Although today there are power banks, which allow us to recharge our device wherever we are, it always happens sometimes that we are lacking in something that loads our mobile phone.
Especially when we are traveling and we need the navigator, we panic because we have to find a place where there is someone who does us the favor of reacharging our smartphone. But it can also happen while we talk on the phone or while we are consulting some things on the web. Unfortunately, although technology has made giant strides, the many features of the mobile phone quickly discharge the battery. The 3-4 day battery life of old phones is only a distant memory.
The mobile phone is an integral part of every moment of our life. And strange to think that before we lived without the ability to shoot at any time. In the past Probably the photos that were available had a more affective value because they represented a special moment. But today it seems that every day is the good one to live a magical experience and we end up living in the monotony and in the illusion that every day everything is possible.
Often we are vampires also in a figurative sense: we need things that we really don’t need. Often recalling memories only with photographic memory helps us to be even more detached towards negative things and attached to positive ones. Binding to an accessory almost always makes us feel powerless from a spiritual point of view.
In the big cities there is no more silence and noise pollution has become daily. We often use music to isolate ourselves from the surrounding world, full of noise and chaos. In fact, in addition to giving emotions (often deriving from its musical genre), music has a therapeutic function.
Many studies have shown that while listening to music, the body increases the production of endorphin, which acts like a morphine in the brain, alleviating depression or anxiety.
Anyway. the best solution to detach ourselves from the chaos of the city would be to get in touch with nature.
But what exactly is silence? Pure silence almost never exists because probably the silence itself is a deafening noise to the solitude of our soul. True silence is when we hear birds singing or how much we hear the sound of crickets or cicadas …
How many books do we read? Quantity is probably important but not everything. Quality is often fundamental, and choosing your book to suit your tastes and attitudes is the best way to create a small library of culture.
We often read without understanding because they are full of thoughts in our heads or because we don’t read often. It also depends on the genre of books: the most difficult are the intricate stories full of characters (mystery and novels) but also treatises on Philosophy.
If your intent is to have fun and not be too focused on the logic of the book, take a leisure book, I am convinced that the quality of the reading is usually more important than the content.
The length of the book is relative. If the book is very exciting we would like the book to never end. Instead some people prefer to read more books but short ones.
A book that has captured us represents a piece of our soul to be kept both in the library of books and in the library of one’s mind.
What is faith? We believe in faith by thinking we believe. And we think that our faith is the fruit of our beliefs or our moralities and ideas. But in reality we have faith only in the things that keep us firm ground. Because in every moment we never feel safe except with our convictions to which we cling. We call this faith because we cover it with our unconsciousness to overcome the darkest and most bare moments …
Our image never coincides with our soul but it certainly influences it.
To think that social media is just a pastime is pure utopia. In fact there are many people who use facebook (or even other social networks) to let off steam.
With this you can define a confessional facebook. people can even let off steam with images … and maybe it’s also a natural and human side but sometimes it does as if they were going to a religious confessional …
