The period of May is perhaps one of the most beautiful, or even most decisive, months. When I was a student, the month of May was the decisive month for fixing school questions, classwork and insufficiencies. Those who had arranged everything could already enjoy the luxury of going on vacation in late May or at the very beginning of June, thus anticipating the summer holidays.
This year, due to the coronavirus, the Italian schools are already closed, and those who will have to face the exams will have to do it with all possible precautions and with the marks of the first quarter. Even in most European states, schools have remained closed, because it is one of the places where the virus is transmitted, especially because children are totally asymptomatic. The Italian government has already set some guidelines to face the new school year, which will begin in September. According to the current situation, all students will be obliged to wear a mask.
But further restrictions may apply if epidemiological evidence worsens in the coming days and months. Italy has almost reopened everything, but in many cities nightlife and night parties are resumed, which are currently prohibited. Hopefully the exponential contagion will not resume.
After ‘s smash hit of Blinding Lights comes this new single, recently launched. The style is very similar: electronic sound, mild 80’s, and R&B genre.
Predicting the future is always a great gift to face the difficulties that could trace the path of life. And even if you did not have this clairvoyance, it would still be wise to hypothesize some scenarios to sketch at least a line of foresight.
The world will no longer be the same or at least it will not be for many generations forced, in memory of the Pandemic, to apply those good rules of hygiene or social distancing. But above all, the movements will no longer be the same as before. And flights by plane will be carried out only by business needs or at the limit by indispensable holidays. Not to mention the Cruises, which at the moment those who travel the world can be counted on the palm of a hand. This does not mean that all this will lead to benefits. Just think that ships are the most polluting means of transport that exists, 100 times higher in emissions than airliners. In fact, what is evident is that the seal will begin to breathe with the drastic drop in CO2 emissions and fine dust. The Himalayas are beginning to be seen from India, dolphins appear in the canals of Venice and many animals pour into the city streets, in the absence of the usual tramway. It is unexceptionable that nature has benefited most from this Pandemic, especially if taken into consideration the fact that in recent times the average temperatures had risen to an impressive level (2019 had the hottest October ever), in addition to the fact that 2019 was the year of Greta Tunmberg, the little girl who traveled the world to speak with the powerful of the earth about safeguarding the environment.
The fact remains of how nations will behave in the future once the pandemic is over. The issues are likely to be lower, however, due to the fact that the economic repercussions that will last for years (hopefully not decades) will in any case lead to a decrease in work (and therefore industrial) and social activities.
But our unconscious gestures of social distancing will remain evident. Although in fact, with the end of the virus, social relations will be able to resume, probably also with a certain thrill due to long isolation and long abstinence, our ways will still be influenced by greater freedom, but above all awareness, which will almost certainly be more evident in Latin countries, in which, unlike the Nordic and Anglo-Saxon ones, they have a social culture characterized by warmer gestures and more direct contact.
All the rest is difficult to predict, especially if you think that the geo-political balance will depend on how states will be able to cope with this emergency.
Finding the culprit for all this worldwide upheaval is trivial for many: the virus started from China. Although many have already blamed the Chinese on the crime, and above all for not having promptly informed the scientific community of the situation, but also probably for the fact that the reported numbers of the infected and the deaths is not the one declared. By dismissing the question of whether the virus accidentally escaped or not, giving rise to conspiracy theses, which will almost certainly be talked about once the health and social but not the economic emergency is over, China’s credibility on the diplomatic issue is not never been questioned. In fact, if we analyze the last decades from the post-war period to the present, China has never worried from the conflictual point of view and the United States and any other world power. Excluding the mere economic clashes with the USA, which China is facing with the payment of tariffs on Made in China products imposed by President Trump, world diplomacy appears all too neutral and thinking of accusing the Chinese is too superficial, especially if it is believed that China is the absolute engine of the manufacture and that without it many products would not exist. China’s alliances established during the Vietnam War, on the other hand, are far too marginal.
The consideration on China’s diplomacy is not to be overlooked because thinking that a nation, with a population of 1 billion and a half and with a territory with the greatest resources of raw materials, could one day face a world conflict puts much terror. Hence probably one of the plausible reasons that the virus could be only an alternative way (or perhaps the only alternative way) to face an indirect world war, of which the singularity is perhaps that of not having allies and enemies if not from the economic point of view and on the supply of sanitary material.
There could also be more noble purposes to the thesis of the accidental nature of the Pandemic, namely that of reducing pollution, of which China has seen the benefits of the lockdown first, with a net decrease in polluting emissions.
But there could also be numerous other theses, including that that the current virus is nothing more than a simple test of other possible future viruses, whose lethality may be much greater. And even if this conspiracy thesis is not true, the fact of imagining that a virus with even greater lethality can be propagated in a natural way is only beneficial in protecting oneself and preventing itself from the future to come.
The regime established in the eastern nation, in an almost genetic way since primordial times, does nothing but obscure the truth about the real responsibility for the spread of the virus, because no Chinese would dream of opposing his government, which until now – at least since post-war period to date – has always boasted unequaled consensus.
If you then reflect on the religious and philosophical culture of the people – almost purely Shenxianesima – what comes out is a unique profile worldwide, where dedication to work is the cornerstone of a system. Although often the dedication to work is such as to even detract from the health conditions, it is seen as a sacred dedication. In fact, the Chinese are famous for sleeping on their place of work and being often abandoned in the cartoons .. This suggests that any correlation to the double end of the spread of the virus will never be revealed by a people who would die of devotion for work and for his compatriots.
The International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination is observed annually on 21 March. On that day, in 1960, police opened fire and killed 69 people at a peaceful demonstration in Sharpeville, South Africa, against the apartheid pass laws. Proclaiming the day in 1966, the United Nations General Assembly called on the international community to redouble its efforts to eliminate all forms of racial discrimination.
In South Africa, Human Rights Day is a public holiday celebrated on 21 March each year. The day commemorates the lives of those who died to fight for democracy and equal human rights for all in South Africa during apartheid, an institutionally racist system built upon racial discrimination. The Sharpeville Massacre on 21 March 1960 is the particular reference day for this public holiday.
The International Day of Happiness is celebrated worldwide every year on 20 March, and was originally conceptualized and founded in 2006 by Jayme Illien, CEO of the United Nations New World Order project, to advance happiness as a fundamental human right for all human beings, and happytalism, as new economic system, theory, and philosophy, which achieves the United Nations global goals, and the happiness, well-being, and freedom of all life on earth.
The next international day of happiness is March 20, 2021.
The 2020 International Day of Happiness campaign theme is ‘Happiness For All, Together’”. To celebrate, UNIDOHappiness, the UN secretariat for the International Day Of Happiness, is calling on all 7.8 billion people and all 206 nations and territories, to take the “Ten Steps to Global Happiness” challenge and call to action. The ten steps to global happiness are “ten easy steps any individual, organization, or country, can take on the international day of happiness, and throughout happiness week, to celebrate the international day of happiness, while also advancing the happiness, wellbeing, and freedom of all life on earth by 2050, when the United Nations forecasts global population to reach 10 billion”. The first step is “Tell Everyone”, which is designed “spread the word” to increase global awareness about the very existence of the international day of happiness, and the UN’s unanimous recognition of happiness as a human right, as well as happiness as an approach to sustainable economic and human development.
The 2006 origin and inspiration for creating the international day of happiness initially came from founder Jayme Illien’s belief that the happiness, wellbeing, and freedom of all life on earth is the ultimate purpose of every human being, nation, and society. Illien developed his vision for global happiness as humanity’s ultimate purpose, through a life spent on the frontlines saving orphaned and abandoned children fleeing war, genocide, and extreme poverty, and theorizing about solutions to the human condition, and the great challenges facing humankind, after he himself was abandoned as an orphan, and rescued from a roadside in India in 1980, by missionaries of Mother Teresa, who first named him Adam, and sent him to live in America.
Today, 13th March is the second day when most of the citizens are locked up at home, and after the decree implemented on 11 March, only the curfew remains as the most extreme measure. Staying at home is not difficult but often you also need a walk, especially for those who live in the apartment.
We have to stay home until April 3rd. I learn from TV and internet news that today schools have also closed in Germany, where they have now exceeded 2000 co-infected. Many international VIPs have tested positive for Coronavirus and have already postponed some Europa League matches and the first Formula 1 grand prix in Australia.
Things to do at home would be many: the best thing would be to read a few books but often the web diverts our attention, especially with social networks, especially if the VIPs, like the singers, entertain us with their concerts from home, after they ran a whole campaign inviting all citizens to stay home ..
In addition to reading, many could discover the beauty and the art of writing or even drawing (or painting). In practice it can be a period to cultivate one’s passions or even to discover new ones. It is perhaps an unrepeatable period, which can divert us from the frenzy of everyday life and from the gloabal and social world.
The TV would be avoided, even if watching it a little never hurts … Of course if you are with your family it could be a burden to always be with your wife lol …
Every now and then you could go for a walk, for a breath of air, for sports or for the dog, but only if you are in an isolated area and without assemblies of people …
Better to avoid doing stupid things, such as going out to visit a friend or going to party .. in Italy thousands of fines have already been made to those who have transgressed the rules of the new decree ..
It is a time when you have to be responsible, although young people are the most carefree and less aware of the emergency situation. The virus could remain until the summer, although, according to what I learned from some statements by the heads of state of Germany and the United Kingdom, “almost” expects the virus to infect the whole population in order to trigger that mechanism called as ‘flock immunity’.
Never before has this song been suitable. Last night for the umpteenth time the government issued an extraordinary decree forcing people to stay at home to avoid the spread of the coronavirus, which in Italy is making thousands of infected people.
At home you can do many things but you often feel in chains ..
Call and listen
Calling out your name
Trying to imitate myself
Forget me in the middle
Shining every light upon it
Still I miss the way you’d hold me close
In a cold wind
Caught you in a room, staring at the light
I’ve been all night
Is it the life that we’re just living in?
Still I wanna celebrate love, I
I’ve been rolling on sixty, I can die on the floor
I’ve been shaken and delivered
There’a a girl out there with silence in her eyes
The truth is in the dark
Yeah, I’ve seen the moon comin’ in view
Yeah, I need you, I’m coming in, too
Ain’t no wind that I can feel in the way, in the way
In the freezing rain
Turn your head my way and my heart and look and see
And I look away
Ain’t no wind that I feel, flyin’ with no way to lose
Ain’t no shame to hold you, to hold you here, for losing you
Hiding from an enemy
Something inside me that I ain’t
Hard to see clear these days
Darkness on my mind
As I stare into the ocean floor
And I wonder where I once was
Was I falling through the air tonight
And crumble into your arms?
Is this love?
Are you sure?
Is it something
You can control?
Out of time, yeah
I’m in chains
I’m in love
I’m in pain
All these changes everywhere
Just go ahead and take my hand
Pull me close don’t let me go
Try to understand
I believe in all the power
In doing what we can do
We can try to learn to make it through
Cover the other side
And I’m feeling it all coming in here
How do we decide what we can do?
I don’t read your mind, can we choose?
This is a hit of the moment .. and coldplay always prove to be a great band. Brilliant sound and catchy song.
I tried my best to be just like
The other boys in school
I tried my best to get it right
And died at every June
This mountainside is suicide
This dream will never work
Still the sign upon my headstone, write
“A champion of the world”
I tried my best to stay alight
Fly like a firework
I tried my best to taking flak
But my rocket ship reversed
No referee, don’t stop the fight
Everyone can see I’m hurt
But I’ll stand before conquistadors
‘Til I’m champion of the world
and when I sail
I’m sailing west
(Though I might fail) knowing I might fail
But still I am hoping for the best
(In my dreams) and in my dreams
Onto my chest
She’ll bring the colors and say
“I wandered the whole wide world
But baby, you’re the best”
La, la, la, la, oh
Oh, oh, oh, ay
La, la, la, la
So I’m flying on my bicycle
Heading upwards from the Earth
I am jumping with no parachute
Out into the universe
I am E.T. on my bicycle
With this kid and I want more
I am riding on my rocket ship
And I’m champion of the world
