World Justice Day is an international anniversary celebrated on 20th February of each year, since 2009, organized by the United Nations Organization to promote the theme of social justice worldwide.
This day is the prerequisite for peace and security between nations because, through respect for human rights and the fundamental freedoms of all, it is able to remove the barriers that people face in accessing social welfare due to gender , age, race, ethnicity, religion, culture, disability, working conditions and justice.
The theme of the day for 2020 is “Bridging the inequality gap to achieve social justice“. But what are the main inequalities to be filled?
We are witnessing the dehumanization of economic policies aimed at enhancing only financial results but instead the evaluation of results should be encouraged in light of the positive impact for citizens.
There is still a large pay gap between men and women in the presence of a similar role, function and responsibility and insufficient measures to reconcile life and work times.
Political and entrepreneurial strategies are slow to implement the energy transitions necessary to ensure environmental justice and persevere in the exploitation of the natural resources of developing countries for the benefit and use of developed countries, but instead should tend to contain their economic and social gap .
The globalization of markets, the spread of technology, the expansion of the markets for goods and services, the expansion of investments and the internationalization of companies and business processes have not been enough to ensure fair employment and working conditions, equality and protection social development in developing countries, nor to set fair global labor standards.
The system brings us to the mass, and when our desires are fulfilled we feel the need to satisfy them daily. I have never loved Facebook, but everyone would realize that in Europe there are now more people who do not have this social network than people who have it. Pawel kuczysnki’s designs are as always brilliant. And the meaning is undoubtedly that we often confuse real bread with other futile things, which deceive us daily. The system of society and the mass deceives us about our needs, making us mistake the priorities and choices .. This world must always be seen from above and trying to see what remains above us.
Swimming is one of the most tiring things .. Have you ever seen the shoulders of a swimmer? They are huge … and probably hands too. Yes, because the hands are nothing more than oars (or second fins) for those who swim. And often those who swim are even faster than those who simply row ..
Regarding environmentalism, the sea does not grant many alternative resources such as dry land, where electric motors or alternative vehicles are spreading, such as scooters and bikes. And so the greatness of those who swim is seen only from the competitive point of view and never from the environmental point of view … where they could spread green messages as you do on the streets ..
As always, I comment on Pawel Kuczysnki’s drawings. Today I find it difficult to comment on it, above all because it undoubtedly deals with the theme of racism.
The color of the skin was one of the factors that provoked racism in extreme cases. The slavery of the past on blacks has certainly created a mass culture with which black people always have the pretext of feeling different by asking for equality and equality even in cases where it is not necessary.
Black people will always have a society that will claim their rights, because in the end they will never be the same as others.
On Monday 16th the draws for the Champions League knockout rounds took place in Nyon (Switzerland), in addition to those of the Europa League. For the champions there were some very interesting draws in terms of clashes between teams.
The most balanced matches are: Chelsea-Bayern, Atletico-Liverpool, RealMadrid-ManchesterCity, on which it is difficult to make a prediction.
Probably the team that had the most favorable (lucky) draw was Juventus who will play Lyon. Even Tottenham was lucky, meeting Leipzig, which on paper is perhaps even easier than Lyon. Barcelona will meet Napoli, which although it is a difficult team, is certainly not a big danger. The atalanta, the Italian team that for the first time arrived in the Champions League and even in the round of 16, will meet Valencia. This will be a very interesting game. In theory, Valencia is favored which, as is the case in Spanish tradition, will be very difficult, but it is not certain that it will win.
The favorite teams for the Champions League final victory are surely Manchester City and Barcelona. Real and Juve have a good chance, in addition to PSG. The other teams will have a hard life.
How important is our smartphone for us? Definitely a lot. But if used with care it can be our best friend, if used with abuse, thinking that it can solve our problems, it becomes our worst confidant. At other times, the smartphone was replaced by a notebook or a book, which in other eras could completely influence a person’s ideas and character. Instead in the digital age, everyone counts to the extent of the insignificant infinitesimal.
Our age is characterized by the chaos and the bombardment of the news, which between social media and other web news, takes us away from reality. So that the book remains the only instrument with whom to remain connected with our fantasy, that is, our soul that is also our reality which we change with our dreams.
If we precede the richness of books and culture, only the birds will benefit, as they have remained the only ones still to hold silence as a divine song.
The books are supported by the dreams of those who wrote them and support those who believe in dreams.
The Christmas season is one of the periods when you buy more things. Gifts are one of the undeniable ways to present yourself as guests in the homes of friends and relatives.
Often a gift, even if of little value, can represent a lot, even the symbol of a friendship. Among adults, it is often a formality. But how many Chinese products do we buy? Surely many. And although we don’t buy them directly from the Chinese store, the origin of most of the products, above all the technological ones, is Chinese. It’s funny to think how many of the things we use have been produced in China: it’s like thinking that every Chinese worker gives us a gift when we find a low-cost product.
Have you ever been on a beach with crystal clear sea? I have had the opportunity to see many beaches, some with crystal clear waters, although I have never seen low seabeds.
Everyone knows that it is appropriate to build the foundation of own home or other buildings on the rock. Instead the sand is represented by the most unstable ground and therefore also by the ground of perdition.
Despite this, the sand has an unparalleled charm, but it can also represent a threat when the sea is stormy. Thus the beach oscillates between a paradisiacal and a stormy condition, like the sea was in the balance of nature.
The sea shines the color of the sky. When it is gray, the sea also darkens.
How many of you will spend Christmas away from your family? Many of you will spend it with your relatives. Very few instead away from home. The saying says: “At Christmas with your (parents) and at Easter with the people you want”.
When December starts the countdown for Christmas and New Year’s event starts automatically.
The days are short and the sky darkens early. The cold forces us to wear sweaters and coats, and when we walk around the shops, the windows are gorgeous.
I have always wanted to spend a Christmas away from home, and therefore far from everything that characterizes the Christmas holidays: money, gifts, consumerism, food etc …
Christmas is increasingly synonymous with consumerism but I don’t know if it is synonymous with happiness. I admire those people who volunteer on Christmas and later, delivering gifts on the streets or assisting Needy Children.
